The motion detector needs a battery, which is why it is not on the wall mount. Also, one of the door sensors needs a battery. The cameras are electric, as well as the mainframe hub/tablet. It all runs on wireless internet. There is also an app for your phone/tablet where you can get alerts and view the cameras live. Or watch the recorded videos.
This system is through Vivint. They are a great service. You will probably have to call them to set things up.
I am selling the system because I am moving.
Brand new, the system cost us $2,800.00.
